Since 1940, the University of Tennessee Press has been the premier scholarly publisher in the state of Tennessee, garnering both national and international acclaim. Our mission is to support the research aims of a great university, and we invite you to join us on our journey.
Although the Press is funded in part through its book sales, we are a nonprofit publisher with a commitment to a cutting-edge scholarly agenda that is often not commercial. As the modes of scholarly communication continue to evolve in an age of technological change and information abundance, the Press seeks to maintain its ever-important role as a provider of high-quality, peer-reviewed material.
You can help us out by contributing to the Scot Danforth UT Press Director Endowment, named in honor of our former director who retired in 2024. If you wish to support a particular project, please contact our giving coordinator, Stacy Palado, at +1 865-974-0055 or via email. All contributions are tax-deductible.
